I am a proud corporate mom dropout who has successfully been working from home for over a year.  When I was pregnant with my first child, I thought I would go back to work, put her in daycare and everything would be fine.  Well, during my maternity leave, things changed…I changed…and leaving my daughter in someone else’s care was not an option. I knew I could not work the 60+ hours a week, come home, be a good mom, a good wife, etc.  Something had to give, and my husband and I were not going to sacrifice the well-being of our daughter for a few bucks a month.  When we researched the cost of daycare, my salary, transportation costs, stress, etc. the writing on the wall was clear – I had to figure out a way to stay at home to raise our daughter.

I created this website after searching over a year for legitimate work at home opportunities.  I found that there are a lot of great resources out there…and a lot of garbage.  It takes a lot of time, effort and patience to research opportunities.  And, for many, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to get the research done. Plus, when you need to find work NOW, the clock is ticking, and you need all the help you can get.

So, as a way to “pay back” a lot of great people I have met through social media networks and colleagues, I created this website to help others find work.  I will share with you what has worked for me, and what hasn’t.  I will share with you the resources that have helped me get to where I am today.

So exactly, what am I doing today?  Well, I am a blogger, sales copy writer, Online Business Manager, social media student and Send Out Cards Distributor. Sounds like a lot right?  Well, it is and it isn’t.

I only “work” about 10-15 hours per week.  Now, when I say “work” that means that I only charge out 10-15 hours of work per week.  There are another 5 – 10 unbilled hours for admin tasks.  I currently have 3 clients and that’s enough for me right now.  I also have a custom greeting card business.  I work when my girls are taking a nap and at night when my hubby gets home.  As you can see, one of the things I absolutely love about working from home, is being my own boss and working when I want to.

I have over 20 years customer service experience, 15 years management experience, and 10 years marketing and public relations experience.  So how does this make me an expert on working from home?

It doesn’t. I simply want to share with you the resources I have found and hope that I can help someone start a career working from home.
