I am a proud corporate mom dropout who has successfully been working from home for almost 4 years! When I was pregnant with my first child, I thought I would go back to work, put her in daycare and everything would be fine. Well, during my maternity leave, things changed…I changed…and leaving my daughter in someone else’s care was not an option. I knew I could not work the 60+ hours a week, come home, be a good mom, a good wife, etc. Something had to give, and my husband and I were not going to sacrifice the well-being of our daughter for a few bucks a month. When we researched the cost of daycare, my salary, transportation costs, stress, etc. the writing on the wall was clear – I had to figure out a way to stay at home to raise our daughter.
I created this website after searching over a year for legitimate work at home opportunities. I found that there are a lot of great resources out there…and a lot of garbage. It takes a lot of time, effort and patience to research opportunities. And, for many, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to get the research done. Plus, when you need to find work NOW, the clock is ticking, and you need all the help you can get.
So, as a way to “pay back” a lot of great people I have met through social media networks and colleagues, I created this website to help others find work. I will share with you what has worked for me, and what hasn’t. I will share with you the resources that have helped me get to where I am today.
My blog has evolved over the last 3 years, and so have I. I started this blog to help other aspiring work at home moms find legitimate work resources. It’s so much more than that now. I have learned the major differences between a work at home job and a work at home business…and what it takes to succeed in both! So I share both, the good, the bad and the ugly!
