Watch out everyone, there’s a new couponer on the web…ME!
Now, before you start to roll your eyes, let me explain. :)
I’m not going to be that annoying couponer at the grocery store that takes an hour to check out and has two carts of stuff. No thanks, that kind of extreme couponing is NOT for me. I don’t have the time to wait in line that long and I certainly don’t have the storage space.
I used to clip coupons all the time when I was younger, still living at home and going to college. Every Sunday I would pull out all the coupons I needed and planned my shopping trip. Somehow the more money I made after I graduated college, the less I couponed. Now I hardly ever use coupons at all, when I really should. The only ones I ever really used were for diapers and formula. But both my kids have been on plain milk for more than a year and I only have one in diapers now.
So for the last few weeks, I’ve been going through the newspapers clipping coupons. I only clip coupons for the brands and items I already buy. I’ve been trying to organize them in a plastic folder with tabs, but it hasn’t worked out so well. So I took a big leap and purchased a coupon organizer. It should have already been here, but I haven’t received it yet. The waiting is killing me!
But anyway, I will be sharing the resources and great deals I find. I shop a lot online too so I have some great websites to share.
Some of you might be wondering why I’ve started couponing again. I wish I could tell you it was to lower our grocery bill or save money for a new car or to send the girls to ballet classes.
But I can’t…
The real truth I’m starting couponing again is…I WANT AN iPAD!!!! Well truth be told I haven’t decided on the iPad or another tablet but nonetheless, that’s what I want to save my money for.
So, there it is. My story as a new couponer.
Oh, and my first “deal” I’ll share with you is an online website to save you lots of money.
One of my current favorites is 1SaleADay.com. They have amazing daily specials and every once in a while they have a 24 hour sell off where they post a new deal every 30 minutes. I got about 5 Christmas gifts last week when they had one of these sales. You can save big money, up to 90% off on all sorts of things. They take Paypal too which is great since I use that like a savings account!
Can’t wait to share some of my other shopping (and saving) secrets with you! If you have your own, please post them below. I LOVE to hear about new deals!!!

All of these books would make a great addition to your library and make great motivational gifts for co-workers or your downline! The 3 that I recommend for the Party Plan Industry are: Your First Seven Days, Appreciation Marketing and The One Minute Networker. But honestly, I think everyone should own Promptings, by our CEO Kody Bateman. While the book details how the company was founded, it’s really more about how SendOutCards is helping bring people together and spread a positive message in the world. And who doesn’t need more of that?!
