30 Days of Faves: How to Create a Custom Picture Card in SendOutCards

Hey everyone!  Welcome to Day 17 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party from Lynsey Jones, The Party Plan Coach.  Today I have created a quick video to show you how easy it is to create a custom card with the SendOutCards system.

Before you watch the video, I just wanted to mention that you can create a custom card with ANY JPEG photo, logo or artwork you have.  So if you have created a special collage in Photoshop, Picnik or other photo editor, you create a custom card.  The photo collage I demo in the video was actually created with Stampin’ Up’s My Digital Studio software.

Enjoy the video!  If you have any questions, please post them below so I can answer them.  If you’re ready to give the SendOutCards system a try, please contact me for a free gift account.

30 Days of Faves: How to Send a Card

It’s Day 16 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party sponsored by Lynsey Jones, the Party Plan Coach! And I’m back with a video!

I actually recorded this more than a week ago, but had to stop production while I was working on a project for a client.  I need a faster computer already so I can multi-task while rendering video! (So just ignore the part where I say, “Welcome to Day 8!”)

Anyway, this is a quick 2 minute video that demonstrates how easy it is to create a card using the SendOutCards system.  If you have any questions after you watch the video, please post them below.  If you’re ready to try the system on your own, please fill out this form so I can create a gift account for you!

30 Days of Faves: SendOutCards Update Regarding Canada’s Postal Lockout

It’s Day 15 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party sponsored by Lynsey Jones, the Party Plan Coach! Today I want to post a timely update regarding the postal lockout in Canada.  If you’re unfamiliar with the lockout, you can read more about it here.

But, in a nutshell, the postal workers in Canada have gone on strike and the postal system has shut down.  That means no mail is being sent to or from Canada.  Now while SendOutCards cannot send cards and gifts to Canada, SendOutCards users in Canada can still send cards and gifts to friends and relatives in other countries.

The reason they can still send cards and gifts to the United States (for example) is because the cards and printed and mailed from our distribution center in Utah.  So customers in Canada can still log into their account, personalize a card and gift and mail it anywhere in the world (except Canada of course.)

So the ease of this system, plus the convenience is really highlighted in this drastic example because of how SendOutCards works.

30 Days of Faves: SendOutCards’ Audiobook Selection

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 14 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party hosted by Lynsey Jones!  I can’t believe this party is almost half over.  My how time flies when you’re having fun!

So first off, I have to apologize for not doing more videos.  I have been rendering videos for a client all week and I found out that I can’t record, render and upload all at the same time.  So as soon as I’m done with the project, I will go back to doing videos because I have lots to show you!

But today I’d like to highlight the 6 Audiobooks available in the SendOutCards Gift section.

All of these books would make a great addition to your library and make great motivational gifts for co-workers or your downline!  The 3 that I recommend for the Party Plan Industry are:  Your First Seven Days, Appreciation Marketing and The One Minute Networker.  But honestly, I think everyone should own Promptings, by our CEO Kody Bateman.  While the book details how the company was founded, it’s really more about how SendOutCards is helping bring people together and spread a positive message in the world.  And who doesn’t need more of that?!

Audiobooks are great for summer travel since you can finish a book (or two) en route to your vacation spot or on your way to the grocery store.  It’s a great way to mulit-task and learn new things.

Have you ever tried an audiobook?  If yes, which one was it?  If not, why not?

30 Days of Faves: Using SendOutCards Gifts as Incentives

Welcome to Day 13 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party hosted by Lynsey Jones, the Party Plan Coach!

Even though we have already briefly reviewed our gift selection, I wanted to introduce an idea to you on how you can use the gifts within the SendOutCards system.  Of course you can send gifts to family and friends any time you want, but, what about using the gifts as an appreciation gift or incentive program?

There are many companies that spend a lot of time and money creating and implementing incentive programs.  I should know, that was part of my “job” in the corporate world.  We literally spent $1000′s each year on motivating our associates, giving them incentives for meeting sales goals and rewarding great performance.

With SendOutCards, you can create an incentive program, pick out the gifts and send a personalized card to each person that earns the gift.  Since there’s everything from gourmet food to gift cards, business books and office “supplies” you can pretty much find something for everyone.  And since everything is in one place online, you don’t have to spend time and gas going all around town to shop for the gifts.

You can send the winners the gifts to their house, or directly to the office.  Who doesn’t love to receive packages at work?

Some great industries for this are:

  • call centers
  • pharmaceutical representatives
  • direct sales (team leaders, directors, etc. can send prizes and gifts to their downline)
  • car dealerships

…and so many more!

What other industries do you think can benefit from an incentive program?  Post your ideas below!

30 Days of Faves: Production Tour Video

Today is Day 10 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party and I am so excited to bring you this video today!  It’s a video posted by another SendOutCards distributor, that shows the production process for our cards.

Without sounding like a total geek – this is truly fascinating!  The amount of cards SendOutCards can process, the hand inspection and gift process is something to see.

The video is only 5 minutes but provides a wealth of information!  I had actually seen this video in my back office and wanted to show it to others, but couldn’t download it.  Someone smarter than me figured it out!

If you don’t read another post of mine, all I ask is that you watch this short video and post your thoughts below!

If you would like to try the SendOutCards system, I’d be happy to set you up with  a Free Gift Account!

30 Days of Faves: Find a note!

Hey everyone!  It’s Day 9 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party and today I’d like to share with you a quick “new” thing I just discovered about the SendOutCards system.

As you might remember, you can add notes to the Contact Manager when you enter a new person.  These notes serve as great reminders about conversations or people you meet at networking events.  They can also be a great way to keep track of items your customers have purchased so you can follow up with them and ask them how they like it.

While this is a really awesome feature and saves time and frustration trying to remember all these things, there’s actually a way to search for notes too!

There’s a menu that allows you to type in a date range to find notes.  When you click “enter” it has the contact’s name, date of the note and the actual note itself.  That way you can scan the list to find whatever you’re looking for.

So how exactly would you use this?

One way I thought of immediately is say you attended a networking event last month and you can’t remember the name of the real estate agent that you met.  You could type in the date of the networking event (or maybe a few days if you didn’t get to enter the information immediately) and all the notes you entered would display.  Then you can just scan the notes to find “real estate agent” and click on her name to get the details.

Easy peasy!

If you would like to see this feature “in action”, let me know!  I’d love to set up a Free Gift Account for you to let you try the system.

30 Days of Faves: Card History

It’s Day 8 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party and  today’s post will be short and sweet…and late!

Within the SendOutCards account, you have a function called “Card History”.  This allows you to track all the cards you’ve sent over a specified period of time.  You can see when it was sent and you can actually “click” on the file to see the card.

Plus, another really cool feature of the card history system, is that you can track every stage of a card from creation to delivery within the United States.  So if you send a card within the United States, you can see when it’s created, processed for print, mailed, en route for delivery and delivered.  That way, you know exactly when someone receives your card and gift!

No more wondering or making an uncomfortable call to see if they received your card and gift.  You know!  Plus, this is a really great feature for business owners who want to track follow up cards and specials.

Isn’t this cool!  Don’t you just love when technology makes your life simpler?

If you have any questions, post them below!  If you’d like to try the SendOutCards system, let me know!

30 Days of Faves: SendOutCards Groups

Woo hoo! It’s Day 7 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party and today I’d like to introduce you to “groups” in SendOutCards.

Here’s a brief video to explain what groups are and how you can use them to manage your SendOutCards account and use it as a follow-up tool for your business.

If you have any questions, please post them below! If you’re ready to try the SendOutCards system, I’d love to show you! Register for a Free Gift Account!

30 Days of Faves: Gifts Point Cost Comparison

It’s Day 6 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party and today I’d like to highlight the cost of a gift in the SendOutCards system.  I think seeing this side by side comparison of the cost of the item will help demonstrate the different packages available.

The brownies are one of our top selling items and yes they are yummy from what I hear.  (Total disclosure I haven’t tried one because I don’t like brownies all that much.  Yes, I know I am weird.)

Here’s a screenshot of the brownies in the gift catalog and it shows that the item costs 20 points.

Depending on the type of account you purchased (Pay as you go, Monthly Subscription or Wholesale Account), the cost of these brownies will vary.   Here’s a quick chart to show you the price difference of the brownies with each of the accounts available for purchase:

As you can see from the chart, the “price” of the brownies is anywhere from $6.20 to $19.80 – a huge difference.  If you would like to send gifts using the SendOutCards system, then I would highly recommend the Monthly Subscription (which is 20 points a month for $9.80 and if you need more points, you can purchase more at the $.49 per point price) the Pay as You Go option by purchasing 200 points which is priced at $.49 per point or the Wholesale Premium account.  That way you can get one of the two lowest prices available for gifts.

The cost of each point doesn’t matter as much when you’re just using the system to send cards – $1.98 for a greeting card is still 50% less than a greeting card at the store and you didn’t have to leave your home.  But the price per point really starts to add up when you want to use the system to send gifts.

You’ll also notice on the picture of the brownies, that there is an “expense” of $6.55 – this is the shipping and handling costs to send the gift and your card.  So the points to purchase would come from your points “bucket” and the shipping/handling will come out of your expense account for postage, gift cards and shipping.

I hope this makes sense!  If you have questions, please post them below so I can answer them!
