30 Days of Faves: Gifts and Gift Cards

Today is Day 5 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party and I know I’m a little late, but I am determined to do this for the full 30 days!  The next feature of SendOutCards I’d like to introduce is our Gift and Gift Card selection.   There is literally a gift available for any occasion.

Here’s a quick video to show you some of the items available!

If you have any questions about the gifts or gift cards available, please post them below! Tomorrow’s video will feature some of the gifts available as well as a “cost” comparison with points.

30 Days of Faves: Send A Card Anytime, Anywhere

Today is Day 4 of the 30 Days of Faves from Lynsey Jones, The Party Plan Coach!  The post today will be short and sweet because the message is simple:  you can use SendOutCards to send a card to anyone in the world at anytime.

The beauty of the SendOutCards system is that you can log into your account from any computer in the world.  As long as you have internet service, you can create a card and send it.  This comes in handy in the following scenarios:

  • You’re on vacation and you’ve taken some great pictures at the beach.  Instead of waiting to get home and upload them to your computer, you can upload the pictures to your SendOutCards account, create a custom postcard to send to family and friends!  Now you don’t have to go postcard shopping and pay $1 or more for a generic postcard – you can create a custom one with your pictures for as little as $.62.
  • You attend your company’s conference or training in another city and you meet some great new friends.  You can go back to your hotel room that night and send them a personalized card that tells them how much fun you had and send them your contact information so you can keep in touch.
  • Are you attending lots of networking events  this summer?  You can send your new contacts a card that says it was great to meet them and you look forward to getting together for coffee or something soon so you can learn more about them and their business.

You get the idea, right?

SendOutCards even has an app for your smart phone so you can send cards from your phone on the go!

Does it really get any better than this?  :)

Yes it does!  Remember, since you personalize the cards online, you can do it at 9 a.m. or 2 a.m. in the morning.  You create the card and click “send”, then SendOutCards prints and mails your card within 24 hours on Monday-Saturday.  (Cards created on Sundays will be mailed on Mondays because there’s no mail service on Sunday.)

What other ideas do you have for sending cards while away from home?

30 Days of Faves: SendOutCards Contact Manager

Well, it’s Day 3 of the 30 Days of Faves Blog Party hosted by Lynsey Jones, The Party Plan Coach…are we having fun yet?  I know I am – I really enjoy seeing everyone else’s products as well as highlighting my favorite things about SendOutCards.

One of the most powerful features of the SendOutCards system, has to be the Contact Manager.  While this is a really powerful tool for business owners or people who do a lot of networking, this works just as well for busy moms who are trying to remember family birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions.

The video below highlights the Contact Manager with some ideas on how to use it.  If you have any questions, please post them below so I can answer them.  Thanks!

30 Days of Faves: More than 15,000 cards in the SendOutCards System

SendOutCards has more than 15,000 cards in the system…and counting!  There is truly a card for every occasion.   Actually, the hardest part about the SendOutCards system is picking a card!

Here’s a quick video that highlights the categories in the system and how to preview a card.

If you’d like to try the system for yourself and send a FREE card, please fill out this form and I will get back to you ASAP!

If you have any questions about the card catalog, please post them below!  I will answer then in a reply or maybe even create a new video for another day :)

30 Days of Faves: Points vs. Expense Accounts in SendOutCards

The Points and Expense accounts are not exactly my “favorite” thing about SendOutCards, however, understanding how this works is fundamental to understanding how much things “cost” in SendOutCards.   So I really don’t count this as one of my 30 Days of Faves posts, but rather an addendum so to speak.

What are points? Points are what is used to purchase cards and gifts.  The cost of each point depends on what you have purchased to use SendOutCards.  They range from $.31 a point in the Wholesale Premium Account, which is the least amount you’ll pay for a point; all the way up to $.99 a point on the smallest “pay as you go” option.

What is an expense account? The expense account is additional funds you have in your SendOutCards account to purchase postage and pay for gift cards.   Since postage and gift cards have a real monetary value to them, they cannot be purchased with points and they have to purchased with cash money.  This also has something to do with the Patriot Act after 9/11/01.

How much do cards cost?

  • Postcard = 1 point
  • Regular greeting card = 2 points
  • 3 panel card = 3 points
  • Big Card (8 1/2″ x 11″) = 15 points
  • Photo and JPEG elements cost an additional point (more info on this below)

Adding photos, the QR codes for videos or JPEG elements to your card increases the card by one point.  The system allows you to create custom cards with photos from your camera or JPEGs like logos and images.   So for example, if you created a custom postcard, it would cost 2 points (1 point for the postcard and 1 point for adding the elements.)

You can also purchase a variety of gifts that range from 15 points and go up from there.

So, the true “price” of a card or gift depends which option you choose.  You can pay as little as $.62 for a greeting card, up to $1.98.

I hope this clears things up!  If you have more questions about how the points and expense account work, please post them below so I can answer them directly and in future posts.

Have a great day!

30 Days of Faves: My #1 Favorite Feature of SendOutCards

Woo hoo!  Today’s the first day of the 30 Days of Faves blog party!  Over the next 30 days I’ll be highlighting my favorite things about SendOutCards.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with SendOutCards, it’s an online service that allows you to create and personalize real greetings cards for as little as $.62 for each card.  This is a real greeting card that is printed and mailed for you with a real stamp.  You can even upload you’re own handwriting font and photos to create truly customized card.

Now my favorite feature of SendOutCards was actually just introduced last Monday, on May 23.  Talk about timing!  :)

In a nutshell, the new feature introduced was new easier and more economical ways to become a SendOutCards customer:

  • We now have a “pay as you go” feature.  This allows you to purchase a set amount of points to spend on cards and gifts.  The amount of points you purchase determines the cost.  I’ll be explaining points in more details in another post, but it’s basically the way you pay for cards and gifts.  A post card costs 1 point, a greeting card 2 points, and so son.  The cost of each point is determined by the number of points you buy – the more you buy, the more you save.  So for example, if you buy 10 points, they are $.99 cents each.  A greeting card costs 2 points which means the card would cost $1.98 ($.99 x 2 points).  If you purchased 200 points at $.49, then a greeting card will cost $.98 ($.49 x 2 points).   This is the lowest pay as you go price!
  • The second option is a monthly subscription – think of it like Netflix for greeting cards.  Monthly subscriptions start at just $9.80 per month for 20 points, which is enough to send 10 regular greeting cards or 20 regular postcards.
  • While there was no fundamental change to our Wholesale Premium Account, this is our most economical way to purchase cards and gifts.  The Wholesale Premium Package allows you to purchase points for $.31 each, so a regular greeting card would cost $.62.  The Wholesale Premium account is an investment of $398 which includes 200 points (to be used within 60 days), 2 handwriting fonts and 8 signatures, the Handwriting Font installer files so you can use your font on your computer and documents, unlimited picture storage to create custom cards, and much more.

These two options of “Pay As You Go” and “Monthly Subscription” have made it so much easier for anyone and everyone to use the system!  As long as you have access to the internet and a credit card (or checking account) you can send cards and gifts through SendOutCards.  There’s no sense in detailing the ways you could have started before the announcement, but suffice it to say this is much more economical and allows more people to use the system.

Now, stay at home moms can use the system (and save time,  money and gas) as compared to buying cards and gifts at the store.  Solo business owners and direct sales consultants can now use the system to keep in touch with their customers and clients easily and inexpensively.  You can choose to send cards and gifts at midnight if you want!

OK, that’s all for today!  Tomorrow I will be highlighting some of the types of cards available in the SendOutCards system. Stay tuned!

P.S.  To learn more about how the points and expense accounts work, please see the blog post:  30 Days of Faves: Points vs. Expense Accounts in SendOutCards.
