I’ve been very lucky lately.

Well, I’m not sure how much luck has to do with it, but I have won quite a few contests in the last couple of months. Prizes have been arriving weekly – such a treat to go get the mail and welcome the UPS man!

What’s my strategy?

I enter the contests – that’s it!

Admittedly, I’ve become somewhat addicted to entering contests. There are literally thousands of websites that host giveaways and I’ve found a few that are my favorites. They even have contests on Twitter – yes, Twitter! Its no secret I’m addicted to Twitter now. I’ve only been on for a couple of months and I am hooked. I tried it a few months ago and really didn’t “get it”. Now that I get it, I can’t get enough! And now that I have found contests on Twitter, I am not going away anytime soon .

OK, so I am a little biased because I do some guest writing for them, but Emily has really done a great job of hosting a wide range of giveaways. A special feature is Giveaway Wednesday. Other website owners can submit their contests to her and she lists all current contests on Wednesdays. I think it’s a great feature because you can scan some of the contests and decide which ones you want to enter. And once you start visiting other websites, you will find other giveaway websites. Besides the reviews and giveaways though, there are different helpful feature articles that provide great tips and resources.

This is a relatively new site for me, but there are two things that I really like and appreciate about this site. One, is that there is a new giveaway every week day (Monday – Friday). You are bound to find at least one thing you’d like to enter to win with that many choices! The second is that Susan is really great about announcing the winners in a VERY timely manner! Winners are selected and announced the next business day. And from what I’ve seen, usually before 11 a.m. EST. This is a big deal for me because it really bothers me when winners aren’t announced in a timely manner. There are some sites that let weeks pass before they announce the winner, if they ever do.

I just won a prize from this website and I have to say I am very impressed with their efficiency also. Heidi and 3 other reviewers do a great job of reviewing all types of products and some are featured in a giveaway. A couple of things I really like about this website are the diversity of the product giveaways available and their speed at picking, announcing and communicating with the winners.

These are just three of my favorite sites – I have many more! Now I realize in telling you all some of my favorite websites, I am going to have more “competition” to win. But that’s OK – there are plenty of prizes to go around.
